Entry Requirements
For the UPC English Programs
A student visa is assessed on academic and English levels. The minimum English level is dependent on immigration requirements and this will vary from country
to country. Your local in-country agent can help with the application. As well
as English proficiency you need to provide academic transcripts showing your
school results. Students must be over 16 years of age and have a good school
record. Entry requirements are either completion of Year 10 (Excellent) or Year
11 (Good and above) or Year 12 (Above average).
UPC ELICOS course placement will depend on your level of English. At lower level you move through each level at your own pace, studying for a few weeks at one level then 10 weeks at
the next level until you reach the upper intermediate level.
UPC Pre-Foundation students will receive a "Letter of Offer" to the Foundation Year program at the University of NSW subject to satisfactory grades. On entering UNSWFY, a student is then guaranteed a place in one of UNSW undergraduate courses subject to achieving the required GPA marks(*).
